The story is set in mid-17th-century France. The protagonist, a real historical figure named Michel de Grammont, is training for a career as a naval officer. After falling for Arnis, a Philippine martial art, the young nobleman plunges into a world of perilous challenges. Alongside his mentor, he goes undercover to explore the treacherous "Courts of Miracles," where danger is a constant companion. Michel has a rare gift for making friends, looking past social status, age, or nationality to see a person’s true character. This inner strength will prove vital for survival in a world where the ocean's depths hide any human atrocity.

This book is perfect for a wide audience, including middle and high school students. It makes an ideal gift.

Olia Bluth. Kyiv.

"The Shipyard of FATE " by Serhiy Novikov is a book that I read in just half a day in a single breath. It was a gift from the parents of the children who study at our school. To top it off, it came with a personalized author’s autograph mentioning my connection to the profession of criminal law, for which I am sincerely grateful. This is a story about the adventures of Captain de Grammont, a 17th-century French corsair, which will especially captivate teenagers, as it is packed with events and stories about a 16-year-old youth. But for me, it brought back my own childhood, when I was fascinated by reading about sea adventures. It was particularly touching to read about the Hospitallers at Fort Saint Elmo in Malta, which my husband and I visited last year. I highly recommend it, and I can confirm the author's warning: do not start reading it in the evening if you have to go to work the next morning.

Svitlana Humen, Kyiv

I have read the book "The Shipyard of FATE . Captain de Grammont" by S.M. Novikov. I would like to share my impressions. The book captivates you from the very first page and adds a rush of adrenaline with each subsequent one. Indubitably, while reading this book, the reader becomes a traveler, an explorer, and a participant in the adventures that await the main character at every turn. The book is written in the adventure genre, where events unfold lightning-fast and unpredictably. In addition to the incredibly fantastic adventures, the book describes the sea, which is truly unparalleled and diverse. Cities of different countries of the world, with their customs and traditions that you visit together with the book's characters. This is a book about real friends, about honesty, integrity, mutual assistance, respect, and honor. It is about those human qualities that are a priceless treasure at all times. It is suitable for middle-aged children, older school-age children, and their parents. It will be a great topic for discussion and a worthy opponent to gadgets. I highly recommend it. It won't take much of your time because it reads easily, in a single breath, and positive emotions are through the roof.

Wishing the author new creative heights.
